Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Review

There’s a relatively new kid on the anti-dandruff block, thanks to the good men and women of Unilever, a multinational corporation that produces a wide variety of different goods.  Whether it’s food, home care stuff or items for personal hygiene, you can be reasonably certain that Unilever makes it, or could if they wanted.  Consequently, Unilever launched the Clear line of anti-dandruff shampoo, claiming its superior effectiveness compared to its competitors.  According to Unilever, users of Clear experience a six-fold benefit every time they apply some of the shampoo to their scalps – it removes dandruff, nourishes the scalp, relieves dryness, prevents hair breakage, cools and refreshes the scalp, and prevents itchiness.  That’s a lot of advantages for a single product.  The secret apparently lies in the patented Clear Zinc Vitanol complex, which combines Vitamin E, Amino Acids and Sunflower Oil to not only eradicate existing dandruff, but to provide essential vitamins and minerals to the scalp that keep dandruff from coming back.

It appears from the ingredient composition of Clear that the main active ingredient is zinc pyrithione, which is recognized as an excellent antimicrobial agent.  It fights dandruff by wiping out the fungi and bacteria that are thought to be responsible for the formation of the flaking and the itching.  In addition to the zinc pyrithione, Clear shampoo contains an ingredient known as Climbazole, an anti-dandruff agent that works to prevent dandruff from returning, so that one’s scalp remains healthy and attractive.

The makers of Clear are well aware that every person is different, requiring different care and treatment.  For instance, men are more prone to suffering from dandruff, because they sweat more and are more susceptible to skin disorders.  To respond to these differences, the Clear line encompasses seven distinct types of dandruff formulas to suit the customer’s individual needs, including several products designed specifically for men, anti-dandruff options for those with falling hair, and shampoos for those who have active athletic lives.

So how does it measure up?  From the testimonials and reviews of various consumers, it appears that Clear shampoo has made quite a positive impression on those who have used it.  Satisfied customers have declared that it completely relieves itchiness and a dry scalp, and eliminates mild dandruff.  It also refreshes one’s head with its mild smattering of menthol.  Moreover, it does not dry out hair or damage it, unlike other anti-dandruff shampoos on the market.  Your hair after Clear will remain manageable for combing and styling afterwards, so that your treatment doesn’t interfere with you fixing yourself up for a night out on the town, or looking presentable at work.

As an anti-dandruff shampoo, Clear may not be the most potent formulation out there, but it does the job for which it was manufactured, and at a more consistent rate than similar competing products.  Just as importantly, it is a shampoo designed to revitalize and deliver proper nourishment to your scalp, so that the problems associated with scalp vitamin and mineral deficiency do not manifest in the form of recurring dandruff, or other types of scalp disorders.
